UNO

Jeremy seems to have a bit of an obsessive nature. His latest obsession is uno. Hannah got a new uno set for her birthday and ever since then Jeremy can't get enough of it. He played everyone many times at the beach when there was a second that we weren't doing anything. Since we've been home it has continued. I must play more than twenty times a day. His grandparents have had their fill of playing as well. He discovered early on that he doesn't like to lose. It didn't take him long to figure out how to cheat. For awhile we would let him stack his hand full of draw fours and skips and we actually found that it didn't really matter- sometimes we would still beat him. Soon that got old so we started insisting that he play fair. He went along with it most times but he would have a fit if he lost. I started refusing to play with him if he didn't learn how to lose nicely. He got better at losing.

Some of Jeremy's other obsessions have been reading the same book at bedtime everynight for weeks or months like Mr. Jeremy Fisher or Letter Friends, video games like sonic or poptropica, and he eats peanut butter and jelly sandwiches everyday for lunch. Jeremy can be pretty rotten a lot of the time but underneath it all he is a sweet boy and I think his little obsessions that come and go are cute.

Emily always asks to play Uno, too. We should get them together for an Uno tournament. ;)
