I've always known that we could go rock climbing at the ymca but only recently we decided we should try it out. It turns out that Hannah loves it and is quite good. Rachel likes to try but is a little more timid about it. Hannah climbed every wall they had a few times. She even went up the toughest one. The whole time she was climbing she was joking and teasing the guy who was working the wall (it really was verging on flirting which was weird). Before she climbed the toughest wall she asked him if anyone had ever been able to get to the top before. He told her a fireman and a very experienced climber were the only two that had ever done it. As she was struggling at a few spots we yelled up to her that soon it would be a fireman, an experienced climber and an 8 year old that had done it. She was really proud of herself for making it all the way to the top. One of the walls had the rope tangled so she couldn't climb it so she climbed up the one next to it and reached over and untangled the rope so that she could climb that wall as well. Both girls had a lot of fun. Rachel was able to make it to the top several times which is really impressive for someone who used to be terrified of heights. I had a lot of fun watching them and taking pictures. I must have taken twenty pictures and they all look pretty much the same- oh well.
