He's 6!

We told Jeremy that we would take him to the somewhat new waterpark that is at the zoo for his birthday this year instead of a party. On the day when we started looking at the waterpark closer we realized he wasn't really tall enough to get to go on many of the slides so Jeremy decided that he would like to do Jungle Jack's Landing instead. We bought wrist bands for the two older girls, Jeremy and dad so that they could ride as many rides as they wanted. It ended up being the perfect day for it. It was warm but not too warm and it drizzled just enough to keep everyone else away so that we had no waits for any of the rides. The kids ran from one thing to the next and had a great time. His favorite rides were the roller coaster and the big pirate ship. Richard wasn't really a fan of any of them but in order for Jeremy to ride he needed an adult with him so Richard was a good sport even though he started to feel sick from all the spinning early on. Sarah was also a good sport- I was willing to pay for a few rides for her if she got fussy or jealous from watching but she was very content just watching and eating snacks. We took a break for lunch and went to McDonalds and then we decided to go for a quick swim at the YMCA to cool off before we went back to the zoo. The wrist bands worked for the ride inside the zoo as well so they went on the train and then went back to Jungle Jack's Landing for a few more rides before they closed. We had a great family day celebrating Jeremy's birthday. At home he had fun opening presents and eating cupcakes. I think his favorite gift was the nintendo ds.
