Spelling Bee

This was the first year that the third graders were able to join in the school wide spelling bee. She was one of the top spellers in her grade so that she could participate. I was so proud of Rachel even though she got out on her first word. She was given the word diplomat. She started out spelling her word and she spelled it d - i - p - l - a and then she stopped and she realized her mistake but knew she couldn't change it so she just finished m - a - t. There were a couple of other people who also got out in the first round and she was able to spell some of their words. It's just the luck of the draw I guess. Rachel is a great speller and I am so proud of her.
